With Ear Training You Can Become A Musical Genius
You can train your ear to pick up and fully identify with chords, note intervals and rhythms which will give you a tremendous advantage in the musical world and will take you to the next level in your musical career. This is known as ear training and is a skill that is relatively easily learned with the right training and some practice. In the early days ear training was available on tapes and CD’s but the quality was questionable. Now the quality has improved significantly and they are available online.

    Ear Training

Ear training is what exactly? The main aspect of ear training is mastering relative pitch. This is where you can detect and accurately identify music intervals successfully. Once relative pitch has been learned then you can move on to mastering perfect pitch. Perfect pitch gives you the ability to predict how notes should sound in your mind without the need to hear them being played. The skill of perfect pitch has been mastered by a lot of musicians and it enables them to pick out notes in infinite detail very easily.

Most novice musicians do not consider the ear training element but instead just concentrate on learning the theory of music and the technical aspects of how to play the instrument they have chosen. It is vitally important for the novice musician to understand that hearing and identifying the music that they are playing will help them to become top rate musicians. In fact it is fair to say that those musicians that have not undergone ear training will be at a major disadvantage. With the right level of aural training a musician can join any band of fellow musicians and just play right along with them whatever kind of music they are playing.

    Ear Training

If you want to form or join an existing band then good aural skills learned through ear training are essential. You will be able to pick up your instrument and harmonize with the band straight away if you have mastered aural music skills through ear training. Knowing and understanding the key that the music is in and the chords that are being used will be easy for you with good aural training. This kind of skill will make you a very superior musician. When playing with other band members it is vital to know if you are in tune with the others and perfect pitch will give you this.

Learning relative pitch is particularly important for singers as this enables them to sing the notes they are seeing with absolute accuracy. Relative pitch training is also vital for music composers as this aural training helps them compose fine music in their minds so that they can play this music on a real instrument or annotate it later on.

The benefits of ear training are immense and any aspiring professional musician should take advantage of it if they want to truly be successful. Playing by ear is a remarkable skill where you will be able to transcribe chord progressions and melodies and rhythms for future reference. In short, every musician no matter what instrument or input to music that they provide needs professional ear training to really take their musical skills to the next level.
